PETER KELLY | CLASS OF '08 | INDUCTED: SEPTEMBER 12, 2014


A four-year Varsity Basketball player, 2008 graduate Peter Kelly established significant personal and team records.

Deadly from beyond the three-point line, he set a school record of 77 threes in a season and 175 in a career. In 2007 and 2008, he led the CVC in three pointers prompting The Newark Star Ledger to identify him as "The #2 Outside Threat in New Jersey.". Pete is fourth in school history with 1,033 points. He and his father Chris, a 1978 Hopewell High School graduate, are the only CVC father-son members of the 1,000 Point Club. As a senior in 2008, Pete averaged 17.9 points per game in the CVC, and the Northstars went 19-8 and became Valley Division Champions for the first time. Pete earned second team All-CVC and third team All-Area honors in 2007. In 2008, he was First Team All-CVC and First Team All-Area.

On the Varsity Baseball team, Pete set a school pitching record for the most wins in a season - 8. His 2008 team (18-6), coached by fellow-inductee Bill Langdon, was Valley Division Champions and first-time Mercer County Tournament Champions. He beat Allentown with a two-hitter in the semifinal game, and was team MVP and a second team All-CVC selection his senior year. In his junior and senior years, he batted over .300.
