RAY FRESELLA | ATHLETIC DIRECTOR | INDUCTED: NOVEMBER 3, 2006

A graduate of Panzer College [now Montclair University], Ray was named Nottingham High School's first athletic director in 1981 after a coaching career of football, wrestling and basketball that included stops at Roxbury High School, Manville High School, Lambertville High School and Hamilton High West. He was also the athletic director at Grice Junior High School.

During that first year of 1981, Ray was busy preparing the schedules and ordering supplies and equipment for Nottingham's first athletic teams. More importantly, Ray was instrumental in selecting those who would become Nottingham's first coaches. His wisdom in these selections was a key to setting the future success of Nottingham athletics.

Ray served as Athletic Director at Nottingham until his retirement in 1989.

On June 30, 2009, Ray passed away peacefully at the age of 81.
