MELISSA FOLEY | CLASS OF '01 | INDUCTED: SEPTEMBER 12, 2009


A student-athlete who excelled in the classroom and on the playing field, Melissa is a graduate of the class of 2001.

In soccer, Melissa captained and led the 1999 team to a career-best 18-3 record and was named to the All-State Soccer Team, the All-CVC First Team, and the Hibernian Senior 11 and Mercer 33 Teams. Melissa also captained the 1999, 2000, and 2001 Winter and Spring Track teams and was named those teams’ Most Valuable Player. Melissa holds the Winter Track records in the 800 meters, 4x100, and most points in a single season.

Melissa went on to attend Temple University on a full scholarship where she played soccer and graduated with a Business/Marketing degree and is currently a business teacher at Nottingham High School and coaches the cross country and the girls' winter and spring track teams.

She and her husband, Louis Persichetti, married in 2015.
