DAVID DEMPSTER | COACH | INDUCTED: SEPTEMBER 30, 2011


For thirty-seven years David Dempster was the epitome of dedication and versatility in the classroom and the athletic arena. He taught in four of the Hamilton Township schools, coached five different sports, and received numerous Coach of the Year honors in three different sports.

After spending several years as a freshman, jv and assistant coach, David held 5 different Varsity coaching positions at Nottingham: Girls soccer (1988), Baseball (1985-1989), Boys soccer (1990-1996, 1999-2001, 2005-2007), Wrestling (1998-2001), and Golf (2004-2006).

David also served as Nottingham's Athletic Director in 1989-1990.

David received FIVE Mercer County Coach of the Year Awards: Baseball (1988), Soccer (1994 and 2001) and Wrestling (1999 and 2000). The NJSIAA honored him with the District 25 Coach of the Year Award in 2000. The teams he has been associated with have achieved several milestones.
