DENNYS DELGADO | CLASS OF '01 | INDUCTED: SEPTEMBER 30, 2011

According to his former coach Dave Dempster, "Dennys had the best two seasons of any wrestler in Nottingham High School wrestling history." Wrestling at 103 lbs, Dennys still holds the record for the most "under-a-minute" pins in a season with eight and the most "under-a-minute" pins in a career with fifteen.

In 1999-2000, Dennys set a season record of 30 wins. He followed that up with 31 wins in 2000-2001. He was Mercer County Tournament Champion in both years. In addition, he was a District 25 Champion twice, and he was named on the All-Mercer County 1st team twice. He was the only Northstar wrestler to qualify for the State Tournament in two seasons where he placed 3rd and 2nd respectively in successive years.

A 2001 graduate of Nottingham, Dennys credited his dedicated coaches Ron Nicklow, Todd Orham, Dave Dempster, Greg Kessler, Neil Bergren, Dave Latini, and Brian Cassidy and the immense desire of his teammates for the personal and team success he experienced.

Dennys graduated from the College of New Jersey in 2005 with a BS degree.
