NANCY CAMMISA WOLAK | CLASS OF '93 | INDUCTED: SEPTEMBER 30, 2011

Former Northstar pitching ace Nancy Cammisa holds the distinction of winning three consecutive Mercer County Tournament Championships and Colonial Valley titles in 1991, 1992, and 1993. She was chosen by The Trentonian as its Player of the Decade for the 1990s.

In three years she had only one loss to a Mercer County team, a 1-0 loss to Steinert. She holds the record for most wins in a season with 23 and had 59 career wins, second on the Northstars' all-time win list. End of year honors included First Team CVC three times, and a Newark Star Ledger All-state selection in 1993.

Nancy gives much credit to her very supportive family and to Coach Peg Howell for instilling confidence, encouragement, and pride in her as she competed. "I learned to be a team player and to work hard with others," she said.

Her success on the mound continued when she attended Mercer County College, where she was undefeated in regular season competition with a 19-0 record in 1995. As team MVP, she led the Vikings to the Regionals in Kansas.

In 1997 Nancy earned a degree in Elementary Education at Georgian Court to fulfill her childhood dream of becoming a teacher.
