1990 NJ STATE CHAMPIONS | SOFTBALL TEAM | INDUCTED: SEPTEMBER 12, 2009 Under the reins of first-year coach Peg Howell and assistant coaches Glenn Sliker and Dee Taylor, the outstanding pitching, great defense, and exceptional offense of this team made for a memorable season in which they finished 24-3. The 1990 team went 14-0 in the Colonial Valley Conference and defeated Wall Township to capture the Central Jersey Group III title. A 6-4 victory over Morris Hills earned the team the New Jersey Sate Group III title. In 2000, ten years after their Group III State Championship, the Trentonian selected the team as its Team of the Decade. Team members were Trisha Sutton, Erin Wingerter, Dawn Lubieski, Jen Allen, Megan Pierfy, Jen Kyritsis, Tara Hendrickson, Stacy Bree, Barb Lubieski, Stephanie Rogers, Kerry Kelly, Stacy Kovacs, Kristy Calloway, Sandy Cominsky, Linda Chorba, Kim Schumann, Cindy Lubieski, Nancy Cammisa, Maggie Doran, and Kelly Tweedly.
